Ethics of AI and algorithms

Apply ethical frameworks to the AI and algorithms many companies rely on.

Technology professionals have a profound role in today’s society. The products they design are changing the way we live and even changing what it means to be human. This has the potential to deliver a lot of benefit, but also requires ethical thinking to ensure that we create a society that works for everyone.

Key takeaways:

This workshop will focus on the ethics of algorithms and artificial intelligence and will include:

  • Introduction to ethics of artificial intelligence

  • Introduction to the ethics of data collection and algorithmic processes

  • Workshopping through different thought experiments and scenario planning

We learn by doing. A seminar gives you the time and space to reflect on the concepts we learned in the workshop, and to come back to a community to discuss and refine your ideas.

A seminar includes:

  • A structured worksheet for independent study, which should take 3-5 hours

  • Constructive and positive feedback

  • 1 hour seminar with a small group of like minded individuals to discuss key topics

"I enjoyed the independent study. When I tried to write down an argument, I realised what I had to learn to help my product team. The seminar clarified a lot of my questions and I'm looking forward to continuing."

"The seminar was full of vibrant conversation and flew by!"
